Prayers are working so keep them coming please! Marcus had 4th dose @10am and so far no chills/rigors this time!!! He is sleeping now and i just know that God has His hands around Marcus. There is no other explanation-all the prayer he is receiving is getting him through this with the least amount of side effects and I am so grateful. Thank you Lord!!!
His calcium was a little low on last labs, so they gave him some calcium via IV-but this is normal. He is doing so well and I am so proud of him-so proud to be his wife!!! Next dose around 6-6:30pm-so keep praying prayer warriors! We love u all and we are so very grateful to have u all with us in this fight!!!!
His second and third doses seem to have been he worst so far-horrible chills/rigors about 2 hours after he received IL-2. But he went through this with interferon-and without any meds (he refused-never wanted to take anything)-but this time since he is in the ICU they give him meds immediatley when symptoms occur-has really helped him. I am just praying those rough side effects stay behind us and he gets through the rest easily!! Love u all!!
my name is Mindy Stanley Anderson and i began this blog to share updates of my life-as the wife of a melanoma warrior. my husband Marcus lost his battle April 1, 2010. i will continue to blog here in his honor, in hopes that i can help other families during their time of struggle. all glory goes to God-we would not be where we are without his help-with him we can do ANYTHING!

LEARN THE ABCDEF'S OF MELANOMA!!! EARLY DETECTION IS THE KEY!
- ASYMMETRY: Does half of the mole look different from the other half?
- BORDER: Is the border of the mole irregular or ill defined?
- COLOR: Is the color uneven or has it changed over time?
- DIAMETER: Is the mole larger than a pencil eraser?
- ELEVATION: Has the surface of the mole changed? If it was smooth and flat before, is it now elevated ?
- FEELING: Has the sensation around the mole changed? Does it itch? Is it painful?
- PLEASE DO A SKIN EXAM EVERY MONTH AND WATCH FOR THESE SIGNS.
