LEARN THE ABCDEF'S OF MELANOMA!!! EARLY DETECTION IS THE KEY!

  • ASYMMETRY: Does half of the mole look different from the other half?
  • BORDER: Is the border of the mole irregular or ill defined?
  • COLOR: Is the color uneven or has it changed over time?
  • DIAMETER: Is the mole larger than a pencil eraser?
  • ELEVATION: Has the surface of the mole changed? If it was smooth and flat before, is it now elevated ?
  • FEELING: Has the sensation around the mole changed? Does it itch? Is it painful?
  • PLEASE DO A SKIN EXAM EVERY MONTH AND WATCH FOR THESE SIGNS.

ok, so even physician assistants make mistakes ;)

Don't you just love it when the physician assistant hands you a consent form for your upcoming clinical trial-and you research it, spread the word, get ready...and then get a phone call telling you he gave you the wrong paperwork ?!?!??!  That is enough to stress me out for the next year!!!  And that is what happenned!  Marcus just got a call from MDA telling him he had the wrong paperwork-the actual trial he will be partcipating in is RO4929097 and it is a Gamma Secretase Inhibitor trial... so, I just wanted to quickly let you all know the correct name of his trial and we are praying we won't have any other errors when his medicine gets dispensed ;)
