LEARN THE ABCDEF'S OF MELANOMA!!! EARLY DETECTION IS THE KEY!

  • ASYMMETRY: Does half of the mole look different from the other half?
  • BORDER: Is the border of the mole irregular or ill defined?
  • COLOR: Is the color uneven or has it changed over time?
  • DIAMETER: Is the mole larger than a pencil eraser?
  • ELEVATION: Has the surface of the mole changed? If it was smooth and flat before, is it now elevated ?
  • FEELING: Has the sensation around the mole changed? Does it itch? Is it painful?
  • PLEASE DO A SKIN EXAM EVERY MONTH AND WATCH FOR THESE SIGNS.

Melanoma we command you to leave-in Jesus' name!!!!!

We are at MD Anderson-waiting to get admitted. Marcus continued to struggle with shortness of breath and decided yesterday he wanted to come back to hospital. He truly felt like it was fluid again, but xray wasn't clear and he could not lay flat on his back to do the CT, so pulmonary used the ultrasound. And after review of that and compared to CT from 3-9-10, doctors believe it is mostly tumor and any fluid they could reach would not be benificial. So next step-they decided to call in a thoracic surgeon to see if he may have another option to give him relief. As it is now, the tumor in right lung is pressing against his heart and making him feel like he can't breathe. So as of right now, we don't know anything positive yet, but we will continue to pray God grants some relief and guides the doctors to the best plan to get him feeling better. And we command Melanoma to leave his body, in Jesus' name-we have no more patience or time for Melanoma anymore !!!!!

My heart goes out o your family. The road to cancer has many turns and while you go you will feel like losing your strength, patience, the desire to just laugh. But there are two things that you never lose ,faith in God ( the merciful) that whatever happens is part of a bigger plan and hope :) Keep holding on to them! it's the only way.
On my side, I will be praying for your family to be happy again, the four of you together.
Love
Myrna
